Find your perfect sleep temperature
Sleep hot or cold? Whether temperature fluctuations are internal or external, finding the right balance can be a challenge. If you find yourself flipping your pillow throughout the night to find the "cool" side, here are some ways to keep comfortable at night.
Find the ideal room tempurature
Research tells us that the ideal bedroom temperature for sleep is around 18°C. At this temperature your body doesn't have to do anything to create heat (shiver) or shed heat (sweat) to compensate for being too cold or warm.
Take a warm shower near bedtime
Ironically, it will help you cool off for sleep.
Avoid exercise or large meals close to bedtime
Both greatly elevate body temperature and can interfere with sleep.
