Headaches
Did you know?
Headaches affect thousands of New Zealanders. The three most common types of headache are migraines, cluster headaches, and tension headaches. Each comes with its own telltale brand of pain.

- Migraines are characterized by throbbing pain, sometimes with other symptoms such as nausea and blurry vision. Women get significantly more migraines than men, but it’s not clear why. There are certain common triggers, though, including stress, bright light, and certain foods such as chocolate or red wine. Migraines can also put the sufferer at risk for stroke.
- Cluster headaches are characterized by excruciating, piercing pain on one side of the head; these occur more frequently in men than women. As the name suggests these headaches tend to come in groups, and then the sufferer will be free of head pain for some time.
- Tension headaches are often described as a tight band around the head. These too can be quite debilitating. In fact, the only pleasant headache is a headache that’s gone!
Personal Testimonial
"I have suffered from migraines for years and really thought it was something I just had to live with. But after hearing from a woman I worked with about the success she was having with her Woolrest BioMag, I decided to give it a go - and haven’t looked back. I can’t remember when I last had a migraine. I will never ever go anywhere without it. Woolrest BioMag has been a total blessing!"Jane
