MAGNETIC THERAPY SHOWN TO HELP STROKE PATIENTS
News flash – July 2010
A homegrown New Zealand research project has found that using magnets to treat stroke patients can help their recovery.
The Auckland University researchers found that stimulating the patient’s brain with magnets outside their skull, can help improve rehabilitation exercises to help them recover the use of arms or legs after a stroke.
Crucially, no improvement was noticed when a placebo treatment was given.
This sort of medical research can only add weight to the increasing body of evidence backing the efficacy of magnetic therapy such as is used in the BioMag magnetic underlays and BioMag pillow cases.
